OPPO’s first-ever smartwatch has been officially unveiled in China alongside the Find X2 and Find X2 Pro flagships. The wearable comes in three models: the 41mm, 46mm, and a premium Stainless Steel Edition. As understood from the teaser images, the OPPO Watch shares striking similarities with the Apple Watch, thanks to its square dial design. As expected earlier, the smartwatch has support for eSIM that lets you make and take calls. The casing has an aluminium build and there are two buttons for navigation and a microphone. The OPPO Watch connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth 4.2 and is 5ATM water-resistant.

OPPO Watch price

The OPPO Watch has been priced at RMB 1,499 (around Rs 16,000) for the 41mm model, RMB 1,999 (around Rs 21,400) for the 46mm variant and RMB 2,499 (approx Rs 26,600 for the Stainless Steel Edition. It will be available in China from March 24th. Though the company announced the smartwatch will be available globally, no specific timeline is revealed yet.

The OPPO Watch 41mm variant flaunts a 1.6-inch curved AMOLED display with 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, while the 46mm model has a slightly bigger 1.9-inch screen. The smartwatch runs on Google WearOS with the company’s ColorOS Watch custom skin overlaid on top and has support for a wide variety of apps and watch faces. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset alongside the Apollo 3 co-processor. The company says that based on the task in hand, the Watch will switch between the chipsets to limit the battery consumption. It is equipped with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.

The OPPO smartwatch can track a range of activities, including walking, running, swimming, cycling, gym-training, among others. The OPPO Watch can track your sleeping habits, heart rate, and can also perform an electrocardiogram (ECG), which is impressive. The Stainless Steel Edition and 46mm models pack 430mAh battery, while the 41mm variant has a relatively smaller 300mAh unit. OPPO’s VOOC fast-charging solution found its way to Watch as well and is claimed to top up completely in just 75 minutes. It has support for Breeno voice assistant and NFC for payments.
