Oraimo Tempo 2 OFB-20 fitness band launched in India, priced at Rs 2,999

“The Oraimo Tempo 2 OFB-20 fitness band sports a multi-colour display, actively monitors heart rate, and is claimed to offer 20-day battery life”

Smartphone giant Transsion Holdings’ accessories arm Oraimo has launched its latest product, the Oraimo Tempo 2 OFB-20 fitness band, in India. The product joins Oraimo’s existing list of accessories, which include the Tempo line of activity trackers, and is priced at Rs 2,999 in India. The fitness band sports a 0.96-inch IPS multi-colour display with HD resolution and bigger fonts to offer a clearer read-out. It doubles up to offer some smartwatch functionalities, such as phone calls, messaging and email alerts, and has IP67 splash resistance to protect the device from accidental splashes.

The Oraimo Tempo 2 OFB-20 fitness band includes an always-active heart rate tracker, along with a pedometer to track step counts, which are pretty usual for a fitness band. Other standard modes include a distance measurement, calorie tracker, activity modes (Oraimo mentions skipping, running and cycling as compatible activities, among others) and compatibility to pull notifications from WhatsApp as well. The connectivity is based on Bluetooth 4.0 and the band is powered by a 100mAh Lithium polymer battery that is claimed to deliver 20 days of standby battery life.

Oraimo Tempo 2 OFB-20

The Oraimo Tempo 2 OFB-20 is already listed on Oraimo’s official website. However, it does not appear to have arrived on Flipkart and Amazon’s inventories yet. Oraimo also offers a one-year replacement warranty with all of its fitness trackers.

Oraimo is Transsion’s accessories arm alongside smartphone brands such as itel, Infinix and Tecno. While Transsion’s primary business area remains centered around smartphones, the company aims to provide a wholesome offering with the Oraimo line. The accessories arm offers a wide range of products, including fitness trackers, charging cables, power banks, headphones of varying form factors, and more. Targeted at the value end of the products, Oraimo’s aim under its umbrella would be to cater to the mainstream segment of the market, with products such as the Tempo 2 OFB-20 fitness band providing a wholesome feature set at competitive pricing.
