Panasonic has launched the Eluga L 4G Android smartphone to compete in the the budget 4G LTE arena in the country. The dual-SIM handset supports both India’s Band 40 and Band 3 LTE networks.
The Panasonic Eluga L 4G has a slim 6.1mm waistline, and features Corning Gorilla Glass protection at both the front and rear. The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display, and offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It utilises a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. The phone has an 8MP autofocus rear camera with an LED flash. It also houses a 5MP primary shooter with Blink Play, which lets users capture self-portraits by blinking their eyes to start an automatic three-second countdown.
In addition to 4G, the smartphone offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS for connectivity. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is expected to receive the Android Lollipop update in the coming months. There’s no word on the battery capacity of the device as of now.
The Panasonic Eluga L 4G will be released in a Radiant Blue colour. Priced at Rs 12,990, the smartphone comes bundled with a protective case and a screen guard. The phone will be up against the likes of the YU Yureka, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, and Lenovo A7000, among others .
