Panasonic has joined the display notch bandwagon with the launch of its latest flagships – the Eluga X1 and Eluga X1 Pro in India today. These smartphones flaunt AI-backed cameras, wireless charging and a loaded spec sheet as their USPs.
Both the Panasonic Eluga X1 and Eluga X1 Pro ship with massive 6.18-inch 19:9 displays featuring FHD+ resolution and a cutout at the top. The handsets feature a stainless steel unibody construction with a layer of 2.5D curved glass on the front. At their cores, both the X1 and X1 Pro get an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 SoC based on the 12nm fabrication process and featuring a dedicated NeuroPilot AI chip. In terms of storage configurations, the Eluga X1 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, whereas the X1 Pro offers a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage setup. For security, both smartphones come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and Infrared Face unlock with AI, which works even in the dark.
Coming to the imaging department, Panasonic has equipped the latest devices with two cameras on the back – a 16MP primary shooter and 5MP secondary sensor backed by AI and LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the smartphones offer a 16MP camera on the fascia. The brand has equipped the camera app with features like multi-mode for scene recognition, face beauty, AI selfie, AI-based slow motion video capture and more. Further, both smartphones are equipped with a 3,000mAh battery. The Panasonic Eluga X1 Pro also gets support for wireless charging and company is bundling a wireless charger with the phone.
Panasonic is offering the Eluga X1 and X1 Pro in two colourways – Silver and Grey. The former will set you back by Rs 22,990, whereas the X1 Pro will retail for Rs 26,990. Both smartphones can be picked up from your nearest retail stores. The smartphones will go on sale in India starting October 10th.
