Panasonic has been offering commendable budget smartphones in India through its P-series for a while now. The brand has now gone ahead and launched the P85 NXT in the country with a  Snapdragon SoC, beefy batter and HD display.

Panasonic is offering the latest budget smartphone with a price tag of Rs 6,999. The Panasonic P85 is an offline-exclusive handset and will be available at the major retail outlets in the country. The smartphone is being offered in three colour variants – black, gold and blue.

The Panasonic P85 NXT comes with a 5-inch display on the front with a screen resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The display comes with the standard 16:9 aspect ratio and is protected by a layer of 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 1. The smartphone comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset ticking at its core. The processor is further mated to 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. As for security, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as face unlock.

In the imaging department, the smartphone has been equipped with an 8-megapixel auto focus shooter on the rear panel accompanied by an LED flash. For self portraits and video calling, the phone offers a 5-megapixel snapper. In the software department, the handset boots the last generation Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system out of the box. The 4,000mAh battery powering the smartphone comes with charging bank feature, which lets users charge other devices from the handset.

The handset has already gone up for sale in the country and can be picked up from your nearest retail outlet.
