Panasonic P95 with 5-inch HD display and Face Unlock launched for Rs 4,999

The P-series from Panasonic tries to offer budget smartphones with premium features. The last launch from the brand in this line-up came in the form of P101, which brought features like 18:9 Big View display and 8-megapixel camera under Rs 7,000. Now, the handset maker has gone ahead and expanded the line-up with a new launch – P95. Unlike the P101, which was an offline-exclusive, the new smartphone will be sold online-only by the brand.

Coming to the spec sheet of the smartphone, the Panasonic P95 comes with a 5-inch display, bearing a screen resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone’s performance is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor of an unknown make. The processor is mated to a gig of RAM and 16GB storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot, which supports up to 128GB microSD cards. The smartphone is missing a fingerprint scanner, however, for security, it comes with face recognition and voice recognition features.

Moving on to the camera department, the Panasonic P95 comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and autofocus. As for the selfies and video calling, the new launch offers a 5-megapixel camera on the front. In terms of software, the Panasonic P95 comes with the Android 7.1.2 Nougat pre-installed. There is a 2,300mAh battery under the rear panel to keep the lights on for the smartphone. As for the connectivity, the smartphone offers dual-SIM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro-USB, and FM support.

Panasonic is offering the latest smartphone in black, gold, and dark grey colour options. The handset has been priced at Rs 4,999 and will be a Flipkart exclusive in India. However, as part of the introductory offer, the Panasonic P95 will be up for grabs for Rs 3,999 for three days on Flipkart Big Shopping Day Sale, which will be starting from May 13th and will continue till May 16th.
