“The new pair offers basic specs and 3G connectivity, and are targeted at entry-level buyers”
In an effort to tap into the entry-level smartphone market in India, Panasonic has unveiled two new affordable Android smartphones, dubbed as the T30 and the T44. Both 3G smartphones are dual-SIM capable and support Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS connectivity.
Under the hood, the T30 features a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, and 4GB of expandable storage. It is equipped with a 5MP/2MP camera setup on the back and front respectively. The phone sports a 4-inch WVGA display, with a 1,400mAh battery powering the show. The Panasonic T30 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Panasonic’s SAIL UI on top. As the name suggests, the T44 sports better hardware with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, and a beefier 2,400mAh battery. Another difference is that the T44 runs SAIL UI on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The rest of the internals are the same as the T30.
Both smartphones will come with free protective screen guards along with bundled earphones in the box. The T30 has been priced at Rs 3,290 and will be available in Metallic Gold, Metallic Silver and Steel Grey colours. On the other hand, the T44 can be yours for Rs 4,290 in any of the Rose Gold, Champagne Gold and Electric Blue hues.
