Panasonic has launched three new rugged devices in India – the Toughpad FZ-F1 and FZ-N1 smartphones and the FZ-A2 tablet. The new Toughpad devices offer dust and water resistance thanks to IP65 certification. Aimed at enterprise customers, the Toughpad devices offer MIL-STD-810G rating with a drop rating of six feet, and are submersible in up to 3.3 feet of water for 30 minutes.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1 is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop. It comes with a 4.7-inch HD sunlight-viewable display with rain sensing and glove touch mode, and an optional stylus pen. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC, mated to 2GB of RAM. The device features 16GB of expandable storage, 8MP/5MP cameras, 4G LTE, CDMA, angled 1D/2D barcode reader and NFC. It is fuelled by a 3,200mAh battery. There’s also an optional 6,200mAh long life battery back for the device. The Toughpad FZ-F1 offers the same hardware as the FZ-N1, but is powered by Windows 10 IoT Mobile Enterprise.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 is an Android 6.0 Marshmallow-powered rugged tablet. The device offers a 10.1-inch IPS 10-finger multi-touch display, and is powered by a 1.45GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8550 SoC, mated to 4GB of RAM and Intel HD Graphics 400. The tablet comes with 32GB of expandable storage, an 8MP rear snapper, a 1080p front shooter, integrated business module, optional 4G, a USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, GPS and up to nine hours of battery life.
The Android-powered Toughpad FZ-N1 has been priced at Rs 99,000, while the Windows-based Toughpad FZ-F1 will set you back by Rs 1.09 lakhs. The Toughpad FZ-A2 tablet is being offered starting at Rs 1.20 lakhs.
