Philips launches a range of LED TVs including 4K smart TV with Ambilight technology in India

TPV Technology, the official brand license partner of Philips, has unleashed as many as seven new Smart and LED TVs in India. The new TV sets come in variants across 22-inch to 65-inch screen sizes, and the company is also introducing its patented Ambilight technology for the first time with the high-end model.

The entry-level Philips 22-inch Full HD LED TV has been priced at Rs 9,990, while the high-end 65PUT6703S 65-inch TV costs Rs 1,49,990. The new range of TVs will be available on both online and offline.

Philips LED and Smart LED TV specifications

Starting with the Philips 65PUT6703S/94 model, it offers the largest screen of 65-inch in the lineup. The panel supports 4K Ultra HD resolution and HDR technology. Moreover, the LED TV is equipped with 3-sided Ambilight intelligent LED around the edges of the TV that has been claimed to cast onscreen colours onto the walls, and into the room, in real time. The feature is mated with an ‘Ambilight music mode’ which will sync the music converting your living room into a virtual sound and light show.

Coming to the 55-inch and 50-inch models, they both are 4K Smart TVs but doesn’t sport Ambilight technology. The 43-inch, 32-inch, and 22-inch Philips variants come with Full HD panels, while the Philips 4200 series 32-inch option offers HD resolution. 

Apart from this, the 65-inch Philips LED TV along with its other siblings comes with Pixel Precise HD, an engine that optimizes picture quality to deliver crisp images with good contrast. The TVs run ‘SAPHI’ operating system that is touted to offer ease of navigation and access to content through a clear user-friendly icon-based menu. The OS also packs in a feature called ‘Micro Dimming’ that analyse the picture in 6400 different zones and adjusts it accordingly. For audio, the new range of Philips Televisions is said to support DTS HD that optimizes sound processing by preserving the original sound content.
