
Motorola expanded its Edge lineup in India with the new Motorola Edge 60 Pro. This is a successor to the quite popular Edge 50 Pro and brings some notable upgrades, especially to the chipset, battery, camera and others. The handset retains the same vegan leather finish and comes in Pantone validated colour options.

Design
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro has an almost similar design as the Edge 50 Pro. It features the same curved edges on the front with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. The sensor placements within the rear camera module has been slightly tweaked. What’s new on the Edge 60 Pro is a new physical button, which is meant for AI functions. The phone is more durable thanks to IP68 + IP69 water and dust resistance rating and MIL-STD-810H.
At just 186 grams in weight, the Edge 60 Pro is one of the lighest phones in the segment. However, we get a plastic frame.
Cameras
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro cameras have been upgraded over the predecessor. We now get a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens with macro function and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom and OIS. There is also a multispectral 3-in-1 sensor for exposure, auto white balance and flicker. We have a 50MP lens on the front for selfies.
There’s a new Photo Enhancement Engine, which as the name suggests will improve the image quality. It also gets AI enhancements, Auto Smile Capture, and Smart High Resolution features.
Performance
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro gets the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme chipset which is paired with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. This is a signiciant upgrade over the UFS 2.2 solution of the Edge 50 Pro. To recall, the predecessor is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. Software
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro runs on Android 15 OS out of the box. The company is promising three years of OS updates and four years of security patches. We get a dedicated AI key as well for easy access, Circle to Search or trigger Gemini Live. There are a bunch of new AI features like Moto AI tags, playlist studio, Catch Me Up, real-time transcriptions with Pay Attention, Remember This with personalised memory recall, Global Search and Next Move.
Battery and Charging
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro packs a large 6,000mAh battery with 90W TurboPower fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging. This is solid upgrade over the 4,500mAh cell on the Edge 50 Pro. However, there’s no 125W charging option this time.
Pricing
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro price in India starts at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB/256GB model and Rs 33,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. It takes on the competition like the Nothing Phone (3a) series and the Realme P3 Ultra. To recall, the Edge 50 Pro debuted at Rs 31,999 for the 8GB/256GB and Rs 35,999 for the 12GB/256GB.
