Phones launched this week in India: Redmi 12 5G, Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G, Moto G14, and more

The first week of August was a busy one for phone launches. Brands like Xiaomi, Infinix, POCO, and others decided to announce a bunch of phones in India. The Redmi 12 5G, Redmi 12 4G, Infinix GT 10 Pro, and Moto G14 are just some of the phones that made their way to India this week. In case you couldn’t catch the launches, here’s a quick look at the phones that launched in India this week.

Infinix GT 10 Pro

The Infinix GT 10 Pro took the spotlight this week with its unique back panel, which the company is calling Cyber Mecha design. The back panel has an interactive mini-LED indicator that lights up when you launch a game, receive notifications, or while charging the phone.

Redmi 12 series

The Redmi 12 series has been launched in India and includes two models: the Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G. The phones feature a glass back design, dubbed the ‘Crystal Glass’. The Redmi 12 5G touts the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, while the 4G version is a value-for-money offering.

  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC paired with Adreno GPU for graphics.
  • RAM and Storage: Up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

  • Cameras: 50MP + 2MP dual cameras. There is an 8MP shooter on the front.
  • Battery: The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
  • Price: Rs 11,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant, Rs 13,499 for the 6GB+128GB variant, and Rs 15,499 for the 8GB+256GB version.

Redmi 12 4G

  • Display: 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate
  • Processor: MediaTek Helio G88 12nm processor paired with Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU.
  • RAM and Storage: Up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB internal storage.

  • Cameras: 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple cameras. An 8MP shooter on the front
  • Battery: The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
  • Price: Rs 9,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant and Rs 11,499 for the 6GB+128GB model.

POCO M6 Pro 5G

The POCO M6 Pro 5G is another Snapdragon 4 Gen 2-powered phone to rival the Redmi 12 5G. The phone was announced on Saturday with a starting price of Rs 10,999, making it one of the most affordable 5G phones in the market right now. The phone is set to go on sale on August 9th through Flipkart.

Moto G14

Moto G14 is the latest budget offering in the country and arrives as a successor to the Moto G13. There is an IP52 rating for water and dust resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, and a Unisoc processor. The phone has a 50MP primary camera with Quad Pixel technology.

Moto-G14

Lava Yuva 2

After Yuva and Yuva Pro, Lava Technologies launched the Lava Yuva 2 in India. Though it is a budget offering, the handset doesn’t come with bloatware, which is a good thing. The new Lava phone comes with Android 12 OS and the company is promising one more software update. The Lava Yuva 2 features a 90Hz display.

OPPO A78 4G

OPPO has expanded its 4G lineup with the new OPPO A78 in the country. The handset ships with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, an AMOLED screen with a 90Hz Refresh rate, Android 13 OS out of the box, and a 5000mAh battery with a good 67W fast charging support.

The first week of August was a packed one and it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down as we have a few more phones expected to come out soon, including the Tecno POVA 5 series and the Realme 11 5G.
