We’ve seen quite a few smartphone launches in the first half of September. Earlier this week, Apple announced the new iPhone 13 series while Xiaomi launched the 11T series. But we still have more than a week left this month, and it seems to be jam-packed with tons of smartphone launches from different brands in India. Ahead of the Big Billion Days sale, Flipkart has revealed a slate of new smartphone reveals coming in the next 10 days from brands including Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Poco, Realme, Micromax, and more. There are some launching through Amazon as well. Let’s have a look at smartphones launching in rest of the September.
Realme Narzo 50 series
Realme is all set to bring the Narzo 50 series to India on September 24th. The Narzo series will include the Narzo 50A and Narzo 50i. As per Realme, the Naro 50 series “will come with loaded features that will include a powerful gaming processor, mega battery, and an AI-enabled camera.” The Realme 50i is said to be the most affordable Narzo smartphone ever.
As per Flipkart, OPPO will be launching a new smartphone on September 27th in India, and the smartphone could be OPPO A55, which launched earlier this year in China. The Oppo A55 features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a punch-hole cutout. The smartphone is powered by Dimensity 700 chipset and comes with a 5,000mAh battery. It features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP main camera and two 2MP macro and depth cameras.
Realme GT Neo2
Realme is set to announce the GT Neo2 on September 22nd in China. The company will likely bring it to India on September 28th during the Flipkart Big Billion Days. The Realme GT Neo2 is expected two come in two variants – one with a 6.62-inch AMOLED panel and Snapdragon 870 chipset, and another with a smaller 6.43-inch AMOLED panel and Dimensity 1200 chipset. It is expected to boast a 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. The GT Neo2 would come with a 64MP triple rear camera setup and a 16MP camera on the front. The Realme GT Neo2 is expected to cost CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 28,500) for the base storage variant.
Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G
Earlier this month, Xiaomi announced the 11 Lite NE 5G in the global market. With no sight of the 11T series in India for a while, the Indian launch of Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G is scheduled for September 29th. The Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G comes with 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with 6/8 GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. It features a triple rear camera setup led by a 64-MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP tele-macro camera. It boasts a 4,250mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Further, it runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. The Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G is rumoured to cost Rs 21,999 in India but we expect the price tag to be between Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000.
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G/ Galaxy F42 5G
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is launching in India on September 28th through Amazon and the Galaxy F42 5G on September 29th through Flipkart. The Galaxy M52 5G is expected to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED panel. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone might come with a 5000 mAh battery. It is expected to come with a triple-camera setup, including a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP depth camera. Meanwhile, the Galaxy F42 5G is said to be a rebranded Galaxy A22 5G with the Dimensity 700 SoC and 90Hz display.
New POCO phone
As per Flipkart’s teaser page, Poco will be announcing a new smartphone on September 30th. However, we don’t know which smartphone is launching. Recently, a mid-range Poco smartphone codenamed 211033MI received the BIS certificate. So, we can expect the company to launch a mid-ranger that could be either Poco X4 or Poco M4.
Motorola Edge 20 Pro
Last month, Motorola launched the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion and Edge 20 in India. Now, it is likely that Motorola will announce the Edge 20 Pro in India on October 1st. The smartphone might launch alongside the upcoming Motorola TV and Moto Tab 8. The Moto Edge 20 Pro features a 6.7-inch 144Hz HDR10+ OLED panel. Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 870 and boasts a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. The triple rear camera setup includes a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP periscope telephone camera, and a 16MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it comes with a 32MP camera for selfies. It runs Android 11.
ASUS has been teasing the launch of 8z in India for quite some time now without knowing when it will be launching. But, we expect it to launch soon, considering the festive season is kicking in soon, and it might be a good time. The ASUS 8z is a rebranded ZenFone 8 since ASUS can’t use ZenFone in its product names in India. The ASUS ZenFone 8 aka ASUS 8z features a 5.9-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. The smartphone boasts a 4,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. ASUS 8z has a dual rear camera setup, including a 64 MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide shooter.
