Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale: POCO F1 available with 70 percent buyback offer; POCO F2 to launch in H1 2019

Flipkart’s Big Billion Day Sale is already underway with much furore, offering impressive deals and discounts on smartphones. Now, the e-commerce website has introduced a lucrative offer on the recently-launched POCO F1 (review), where the e-tailer has announced that it will offer 70 percent buyback value on the smartphone. However, if you look closely, then Flipkart has also revealed the expected timeline of the F1’s successor, the POCO F2.

POCO F1 buyback

The website is offering the buyback value on POCO F1 only if the buyer upgrades to the newer POCO Phone. The terms and conditions accompanying the asterisk suggest that the POCO F2 will come within six to eight months. So we can expect the upcoming smartphone during the first quarter of 2019. The offer is valid only on the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and in order to avail it, users will have to pay Rs 20,999, after a flat discount of Rs 1,000. Buyers will also have to purchase the Buyback Guarantee Policy for an additional Rs 149. With this, one will get a buyback value of up to Rs 14,700 while upgrading to the POCO F2, bringing the net value down to Rs 5,799. 


To recap on the spec sheet, the POCO F1 comes with a 6.18-inch FHD+ IPS display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The smartphone comes with a 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset. The phone is being offered in three RAM and storage configurations – 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. For imaging, there’s a dual 12MP + 5MP sensors on the rear and a 20-megapixel selfie shooter. The handset boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 out of the box and is powered by a beefy 4,000mAh battery. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone socket, and a USB Type-C port.

The smartphone is being sold exclusively on Mi.com and Flipkart in India. Apart from the base variant, the F1 costs Rs 23,999 for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage version, and Rs 28,999 for the top-end 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage option.
