POCO F1 (Review) is now receiving a new update that brings the MIUI version to 10.3.6.0. This includes the June security patch, lock screen pocket mode optimisation, and also a fix for the bug where the screen does not light up for notifications. The 269MB update has build number PEJMIXM and is also reported to have fixed touch latency as well. This update comes days after Xiaomi rolled out similar MIUI 10.3.6 update to the Redmi K20 series in India. The update is currently rolling out to everyone. POCO F1 is now available at a discounted price as a part of the Mi Turns 5 sale. The 8GB + 256GB variant is now available at Rs 22,999, while the 6GB + 128GB is up for grabs at Rs 18,999.
To recall, the POCO F1 packs a 6.18-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080 x 2,246 pixels resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass layer and standard notch to accommodate the selfie snapper. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor with Adreno 630 GPU. The handset is available in three variants; 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB UFS 2.1 storage that is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The phone runs Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 skin on top.
For photography, the handset features a dual-rear camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor, and 5-megapixel secondary sensors. The front camera gets a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. A 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support fuels the phone. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.
