The rest of the device seems pretty similar to the current iteration
If the rumour mill is to be believed, the next smartphone from POCO could be released early this year. And now we have concept renders of the successor to the POCO F1 (review), thanks to the popular tipster Ben Geskin. As per the images, the POCO F2 (expected to be dubbed PocoPhone F2 globally) seems to offer a small water drop notch compared to the iPhone-like cut-out on the current generation handset. This should help in offering a better screen-to-body ratio on the new device.
Other design elements suggested by the renders include a fingerprint reader along with a vertical dual-camera setup and a flash unit on the back. However contrary to the POCO F1, these renders show the camera unit on the left side.
In terms of the specifications, the POCO F2 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC along with 6 / 8GB of RAM. It will reportedly feature a 6.39-inch FHD+ display. Sadly not much is known about the forthcoming handset, though we can expect rumourville to reveal more details about the affordable flagship.
Considering that the POCO F1 is currently the most affordable Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone, the next iteration could also be an affordable handset featuring top-notch specifications. To recall, the F1 features a 6.18-inch display with a full HD resolution. The Snapdragon 845 processor ticking under the hood is paired with 6GB / 8GB RAM. For storage, the device ships with 64GB / 128GB / 256GB memory onboard, which can be further expanded by a microSD card. In terms of imaging, the phone offers a pair of 12MP + 5MP shooters on the rear and a 20-megapixel snapper on the front. Powering the show is a beefy 4,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 tech.
