- POCO F2 launch is being teased by the company
- There is no word yet on the launch date for the smartphone
- POCO F2 or F2 Pro is expected to launch with specifications like the Snapdragon 865 chipset and 5G support
POCO F2 or POCO F2 Pro may finally launch this month, if the company’s teaser is anything to go by. POCO on Friday posted a tweet on its official global account with a small clip of fans asking about the POCO F1 successor. The caption reads “miss us much” and this is a pretty strong suggestion that the company is ready to launch the highly anticipated POCO F2 flagship smartphone. To recall, the POCO F1 was launched back in 2018 and the brand announced the mid-range POCO X2 earlier this year. According to recent reports, the upcoming flagship could be called the POCO F2 Pro, and it is widely expected to be a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro.
The teaser post does not reveal anything about the POCO F2 launch date, but we assume it could happen later this month. Since the the teaser has been posted by the POCO Global Twitter account, we expect the launch to take place outside India. However, the smartphone is expected to launch in India as well.
In recent weeks, there have been reports that the upcoming flagship phone will be called the POCO F2 Pro. However the brand names the device, one thing seems certain that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset and will support 5G connectivity. Due to the higher cost of the flagship chipset, the POCO F2 or POCO F2 Pro may launch at higher than expected prices globally.
The POCO F2 Pro prices in Portugal leaked out this week, suggestion that it will be the brand’s most expensive smartphone yet. According to the report, the POCO F2 Pro price will be EUR 649 (approx Rs 53,500) for the 6GB + 128GB base model and EUR 749 (approx Rs 62,000) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. Prices in other European markets may not be as high. Meanwhile, you can expect the POCO F2 price in India to be a lot more aggressive due to the price-sensitive nature of the market and the fact that the phone will rival the Realme X50 Pro.
