Rumours surrounding the launch of the POCO F4 have been popping up on the internet for quite some time now. The POCO F4 is said to be a rechristened Redmi K40S, which launched a little while ago in China. Today, the brand has officially started teasing the launch of its upcoming POCO F-series smartphone, which in all likelihood will be the POCO F4. Since the brand’s Indian handle has also posted the global launch of the device, we have reasons to believe that POCO will launch the POCO F4 in India as well.

As seen in the tweet above, POCO will soon be launching its next F-series smartphone. The device is more than likely to be the POCO F4. The promotional poster has been posted by the brand via its official social media handles. The poster stresses on the brand’s Everything You Need philosophy. This could necessarily mean that the POCO F4 will focus on providing an all-round experience, unlike its GT counterparts, which focus primarily on gaming. For now, the actual launch date has not been confirmed, so we might have to wait for a little longer to know more about the same.

POCO F4 specifications (expected)

If the POCO F4 is indeed a rebranded Redmi K40S, we can expect the device to feature a Snapdragon 870 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device could feature a 120Hz refresh rate FHD+ E4 AMOLED display.

In the camera department, the Redmi K40S features a 48MP triple rear camera setup with OIS. However, leaked images of the POCO F4 suggest the phone will get an upgrade 64MP triple camera system. The device should also pack a 4,520mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port. Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box is also expected.

The POCO F4 is said to look more or less like the Redmi K40S. At the back, the device will feature a gradient finish. As a matter of fact, the rear panel images of the device were leaked a little while ago. The camera module will be located in the top left corner of the device’s back. At the front, the device is said to make room for a centrally-aligned single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
