The POCO M2 Pro name was recently spotted on the Xiaomi India website, suggesting the handset is in the works and it was later spotted on Xiaomi’s RF exposure page. Now, the POCO M2 Pro with model number M2003J6CI has bagged Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG certifications, as spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma, hinting at its imminent launch. The Wi-Fi listing reveals the it’ll have dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity and will run Android 10. The Bluetooth SIG certifications confirms the POCO M2 Pro will support Bluetooth 5.0. The ‘I’ at the end of the model number suggests it could be the India-specific variant. That’s all we get from the certifications and there is no word yet on the POCO M2 Pro launch date.
Separately, the vanilla POCO F2 is also said to be in the development with model number M2004J11G. It was recently certified in Malaysia and by ‘TUV Rheinland’. The listings showed the phone will ship with 30W fast-wired charging, NFC support and likely 5G connectivity as well. The POCO F2 will succeed the very popular POCO F1 that was launched in late 2018. More details about the handset are awaited.
While we await the launch of the POCO M2 Pro, the company has confirmed it will soon launch the POCO Pop Buds truly wireless earbuds in India.
