POCO, meanwhile, has been teasing the launch of POCO F2 in India. The handset is expected to be a flagship offering – succeeding the original POCO F1 from 2018, and a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone that was recently launched in China. The POCO F2 may launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G SoC ticking at its core. It’s likely to sport a 6.67-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with standard 60Hz refresh rate. The phonemaker could ship the smartphone with up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
For photography, the POCO F2 is expected to sport quad rear cameras with a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, a 5MP macro lens, a 13MP wide-angle lens with 123-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera could feature a 20MP pop-up shooter for selfies and video calling. The handset would boot Android 10 OS-based MIUI 11 and house a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
The POCO F2 is also expected to feature a large vapour chamber (VC) liquid cooling system, in-display fingerprint scanner, and connectivity options such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, 3.5mm headphone jack, Infrared blaster, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
