“POCO X2 will come with a high 120Hz refresh rate and a 64MP Sony IMX686, based on the teasers so far”
POCO X2 will indeed come with a 120Hz display, a teaser on Flipkart has confirmed. The POCO X2 is scheduled to launch in India on February 4th and it will be the first phone from the now independent brand since the POCO F1 in 2018. The smartphone will go on sale via Flipkart online apart from Mi.com and is being touted as a gaming-focused smartphone with Snapdragon chipset and liquid cooling tech. Now, the Flipkart listing has confirmed the POCO X2 will come with a high 120Hz refresh rate, which it is calling ‘RealityFlow’. This should offer a smooth scrolling experience and rich visuals during gaming. The 120Hz display was expected since POCO started teasing the launch of the POCO X2 with the hashtag #SmoothAF.
The POCO X2 was spotted on Geekbench earlier this month with specifications that included 8GB of RAM and Android 10 out of the box. The POCO X2 is tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 765G SoC, but it is unclear whether the phone will come with 5G support or not.
The POCO X2 could have a beefy battery with fast-charging support via the USB Type-C port. Furthermore, rumours claim that the POCO X2 is a rebranded Redmi K30 that was launched in China last month.
But the teaser posters on POCO website could be suggesting otherwise as it seems to have dual-cameras at the back with Sony IMX686 64MP primary sensor and a traditional fingerprint sensor right below the camera module, instead of the side-mounted scanner as seen on the Redmi K30. The POCO X2 could have a beefy battery with fast-charging support via the USB Type-C port.
Considering the internals, the POCO X2 should be priced under Rs 20,000 for the base variant, but we should know more details when its launched next week. The Flipkart listing will be revealing another feature of the POCO X2 tomorrow i.e. January 29th and that should give us an idea on what’s coming. Stick around.
