“The POCO X2 will come with 27W fast charging just like the Redmi K30 4G”
POCO X2, which is slated to launch in India on February 4th, is widely expected to be a rebranded version of the 4G Redmi K30 smartphone. The poster of the handset has allegedly been leaked by HT Tech revealing its design, core specifications, and price in India. The POCO X2, as per the report, will tout the same 6.67-inch 120Hz ‘RealityFlow Display’ with an elongated punch-hole for dual selfie cameras and quad-rear camera setup with 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor as the Redmi K30. As for the price, the POCO X2 is said to retail in India at Rs 18,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage onboard, but this should be taken with a pinch of salt. Additionally, the Flipkart page has confirmed that the POCO X2 will come with 27W fast charging.
Poco X2 specifications
Talking about the design, the POCO X2 seems to have a blue paintjob with gradient finish. The handset will have an all-display fascia with a chin and a camera module aligned vertically at the back panel. The right spine of the phone appears to house power button, which will double as a fingerprint scanner, and a volume rocker. The POCO X2’s bottom edge, meanwhile, could pack USB Type-C, speaker grille, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The POCO X2 will most likely be powered by Snapdragon 730G chipset as it powers the Redmi K30 4G as well. The front camera phone could sport a 20MP primary sensor paired with a 2MP secondary shooter. A recent POCO X2 Geekbench listing suggests that the phone will come in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. The phone is expected to be driven by a 4,500mAh battery, while MIUI 11 atop Android 10 takes care of its software side of things.
Notably, there is also a 5G version of Redmi K30 smartphone with a slightly better Snapdragon 765G chipset ticking at its core. That version doesn’t seem to be heading to India anytime soon.
