POCO X4 Pro 5G was launched in India on Monday, with the brand announcing the phone’s price, specifications, and availability details. The device comes as a successor to the POCO X3 Pro and brings design changes and hardware upgrades, such as an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 67W fast charging support. The handset has a centre-positioned hole-punch camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a large camera island on the back, and a diamond-cut design. POCO X4 Pro 5G specifications include a 6.67-inch display, Snapdragon 695 chipset, a 5000mAh battery, MIUI 13, and up to 128GB storage.

POCO X4 Pro price in India is Rs 18,999 for the 6GB+64GB version, Rs 19,999 for the 6GB+128GB option, and Rs 21,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant. It comes in POCO Yellow, Laser Black, and Laser Blue colour options and be on sale via Flipkart on April 5th.

POCO X4 Pro 5G flaunt a 6.67 FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200nits peak brightness, DCI-P3 colour gamut, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer.

Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with Adreno 619 GPU for graphics. The device supports 7 5G bands in India. The POCO phone comes in three configurations – 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB. The handset supports storage expandability via a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 11 based MIUI 13 custom skin out of the box.

Moving to the cameras, the POCO X4 Pro 5G offers triple camera sensors on the back, including a 64MP ISOCELL GW3 primary sensor with an LED flash and an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro unit with f/24 aperture. There is a 16MP snapper with an f/2.4 aperture on the front for selfies and video chats.

The POCO X4 Pro has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, an IR blaster, a 3.5mm audio jack, and dual stereo speakers. There is a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. 

Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. It comes with liquid cooling to dissipate heat when gaming and Z-axis haptic motor. The phone measures 164.19 X 76.1 X 8.12mm and weighs 205 grams.

POCO X4 Pro vs POCO X3 Pro


POCO X3 Pro offers a similar 6.67-inch display but the difference here is that the POCO X4 Pro has an AMOLED panel, which should offer a better viewing experience with inky blacks and better contrast. The POCO X3 Pro ships with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC, compared to the Snapdragon 695, which is also a powerful chipset for day-to-day tasks and gaming. 

The primary camera is bumped up to a 64MP camera on the POCO X4 Pro compared to the 48MP unit on the X3 Pro. The selfie camera on the X3 Pro is a 20MP unit, while the X4 Pro comes with a 16MP unit. The battery charging speed is where the POCO X4 Pro takes a giant leap forward. The new POCO phone offers a 67W Sonic Charging compared to the 33W charging on the predecessor. The battery capacity is more or less on the same lines, with a 5160mAh battery on the POCO X3 Pro and a 5000mAh unit on the POCO X4 Pro.
