Sony India is yet to share any official information regarding PS5 faceplate sales in the country, but the sources for this information have been previously accurate about PS5-related leaks.

Is PS5 Out in India? Twitter handle has said that Sony has imported really small quantities of PS5 faceplates to India. These may go on sale soon, but they could be sold out within minutes due to limited stocks similar to what happens to PS5 restocks. Industry insider Rishi Alwani has backed up these claims and revealed that the PS5 faceplates could cost Rs 3,999 in India. Sony will most likely add a listing at ShopAtSC, and these may go on sale alongside the next PS5 restock.
There have been several speculations about the limited stocks of PS5 in India. Is PS5 Out in India? had recently revealed that Sony has imported 76,000 PS5 units to India since its launch. Out of which, only 13.6 percent of consoles are Digital Edition. What’s surprising is that 24 percent of the imported units were brought to India in June 2022’s PS5 restock alone. This suggests the last PS5 restock had much better stocks compared to previous ones. Sony may also push out more consoles during upcoming PS5 restocks, and the company seems to be planning to bring more PlayStation accessories to India. Pictures of PS5 consoles in local stores have also started popping up online, suggesting that local electronics stores may have some PS5 stocks too.
