Despite launching over a year ago, Sony’s latest gaming console still remains hard to grab for many fans thanks to supply chain and chip shortage issues. There were many instances in the past where pre-orders were cancelled as stores couldn’t keep up with the demand. Launched in two models, PS5 comes with 4K gaming support and is backwards compatible with PS4 as well. PS5 specifications

Sony has introduced two models of the PS5 this time. One that comes with Blu-Ray disc and other that doesn’t, which it calls Disc-less digital-only edition. The gaming console is backwards compatible with PS4 as well. What this means is that popular PS4 titles are playable on the PS5. It packs 16GB GDDR6 RAM with a memory bandwidth of 449GB/s and it has 825GB of usable internal storage for games.

The Blu-Ray model comes with a 4K UHD drive, USB HDD support, 2.1HDMI port and NVMe SSD slot for an expansion card of up to 1TB. It is powered by an octa-core CPU with Zen 2 cores at 3.5GHz. It is claimed to operate at 10.28 TFOPs and 36 CUs at 2.33GHz.
