PS5 pre-orders in India will go live once again today. The country has seen abysmal stocks of PS5 consoles since its launch earlier this year. Sony has revealed that there will be a shortage of consoles through 2022 as well, which is sad news for those expecting stocks to stabilise this year. The good news is that PS5 pre order in India is once again set to go live today at 12 PM IST. Notably, today will be the first time the PS5 Digital Edition goes on sale in India. This version is cheaper than the disk edition, so you can expect stocks to disappear within minutes of the sale going live.

PS5 pre-order in India

If you are looking to pre-order the PS5 Digital Edition, you can try your luck at ShopAtSC. The official Sony Center website has listed both the PS5 Digital Edition and the disk edition, which are priced at Rs 39,990 and Rs 49,990, respectively. Additionally, you can also purchase the PS5 DualSense wireless controller separately at Rs 5,990.

There is no word on how many PS5 units are available in India during today’s pre-order, but we speculate that the numbers are low. The first round of pe-order and launch in India reportedly saw only around 4,000 units on sale. This is a measly number compared to the overall sales of 7.8 million units worldwide. We can only hope today’s pre-order has more consoles on offer, but it would be wise not to keep your hopes up.
