Sony India has confirmed a great discount for all variants of PS5, which brings the console at its launch price. Sony has recently done similar price drops in the UK, Middle East, and US as well. According to industry insider Rishi Alwani, there will be a special summer promotional offer on PS5 consoles, where customers can get Rs 5,000 discount on any variant. This offer will be valid for a limited time only and it will be available in the coming days.

PlayStation India has confirmed that all PS5 versions will get Rs 5,000 discount. This offer will go live on April 1 and run for a limited time only. This deal brings PS5 prices to the original launch prices. Under the special summer promotional offer, the prices of PS5 in India will be:

  • PS5 – 49,990
  • PS5 Digital Edition – Rs 39,990
  • PS5 God of War Ragnarok bundle – Rs 54,990

The current price of standard PS5 is Rs 54,990 and that of PS5 Digital Edition is Rs 44,990. Meanwhile, the PS5 God of War Ragnarok bundle costs Rs 59,990 in India. There will most likely be a PS5 restock in India on April 1, where the consoles will be available to pre-order online via Amazon, Flipkart, Games The Shop, ShopAtSC, Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital, and Croma. More details regarding the upcoming PS5 restock will be revealed in the coming days.

PS5 has been in high demand in the country since it was introduced to the Indian market in February 2021. According to Rishi Alwani, Sony has sold around 1,000,000 PS5 units in 2022 via official and parallel channels since February 2021. The company has also imported “close to 20,000 PS5s” to India in this year itself. A discounted price will definitely help Sony sell more consoles in the country.
