Razer Phone 2 alleged render leaked; tipped to launch on October 10th

“The Razer Phone 2 will reportedly feature a 120Hz refresh rate display and Snapdragon 845 SoC”

It seems like the Razer Phone 2 smartphone could launch sooner than expected. The handset, which has been the subject of multiple leaks lately, is expected to launch next month on October 10th. This little piece of information came from the alleged render of the Razer Phone 2, brought to you by Android Headlines.

The image above shows the next-gen gaming device from Razer powered on. Without a doubt, it looks similar to last year’s Razer Phone (first impression), but Android Headlines claims that the render came from a “reliable source”. Therefore, it’s likely that the Razer Phone 2 could feature the same old-school 16:9 display and dual front cameras placed up top. A close observation further reveals that the handset flaunts slightly thicker side bezels compared to the last year’s Razer Phone.

What the rear panel of the Razer Phone 2 looks like, remains to be seen. However, the handset was recently spotted getting benchmarked on a couple of sites. It revealed that the smartphone could employ a QHD (2,160 x 1,440p) resolution display, which is again the same as its predecessor, the Razer Phone, which has a 5.6-inch panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. Software-wise, it could run a custom-based Android Oreo out of the box that can optimise the device for a better gaming performance.
