This also means they offer the most features as well. The two devices will be competing against each other in China for now, but are also expected to do so in India. Realme has already confirmed the Realme 10 Pro Plus is releasing in India soon. Xiaomi is expected to make an announcement about the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus India launch soon as well.

The Realme 10 Pro Plus is available in three variants in China. This includes the 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB variants. These are priced at CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs 19,400), CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 22,800), and CNY 2,299 (approx Rs 26,200) respectively.

By comparison, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is only available in two variants. This includes the 8GB+256GB, and the 12GB+256GB variants. These are priced at CNY 2,099 (approx Rs 23,900) and CNY 2,299 (approx. Rs 26,200), respectively. We expect both phones to launch in India with somewhat similar prices.

Display

The Realme 10 Pro Plus packs a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. It also offers support for HDR10+ and covers 100 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The phone also offers a high screen-to-body ratio of 93.65 per cent.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus packs a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display that offers a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. It supports HDR10+ and covers 100 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Processor

Both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. This is a flagship-grade octa-core chipset that is based on the 6nm process. It offers a maximum clock speed of 2.6GHz and features the Arm Mali-G68 GPU.

In terms of memory, both devices offer up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. However, the Realme 10 Pro Plus offers a more affordable 8GB + 128GB variant as compared to the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus which offers 8GB RAM and 256GB storage in its base variant.

Camera

The Realme 10 Pro Plus packs a triple-rear camera setup with a 108MP primary camera that offers an F1.8 aperture lens. There is also an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view. Finally, there is a 2MP macro camera. At the front is a 16MP camera.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro Plus also features a triple-rear camera setup with a massive 200MP primary camera with an F1.7 aperture lens. Up next is an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 119-degree field of view. There is also a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, you get a 16MP unit.

Battery

Both smartphones offer a reasonably large 5000mAh battery. A battery of this size should be more than enough to offer a day’s worth of power with average use. However, where they differ is in the fast charging system on offer.

The Realme 10 Pro Plus offers 65W fast charging, while the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus offers 120W fast charging. While both these are super fast charging speeds, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus just takes the cake.
