Realme 2 Pro, Realme C1 go on sale for the first time in India today via Flipkart sale

The Realme 2 Pro smartphone with Snapdragon 660 SoC and up to 8GB of RAM will go on sale in the country for the first time today, alongside its more affordable sibling Realme C1. Both the smartphones are part of the exclusive launches for the Flipkart sale. While the Realme 2 Pro sale commenced at 12am on October 11th, the Realme C1 sales will start at 12pm today. There are no discounts being provided on the two smartphones, but the standard 10 percent HDFC Bank instant discount applies on both the smartphones.

Realme 2 Pro, Realme C1 price in India

The Realme 2 Pro price in India starts at Rs 13,990 for the base 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant. It is also available in 6GB RAM, 64GB storage and 8GB RAM, 128GB storage options as well, priced at Rs 15,990 and Rs 17,990, respectively. All three variants are available in Black Sea, Blue Ocean, and Ice Lake colours. As for the Realme C1 price in India, buyers will have to shell out Rs 6,999 for the lone 2GB RAM, 16GB storage model that only comes in Mirror Black finish.

Realme 2 Pro sports a waterdrop notch atop its 6.3-inch full-HD+ display and screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent. The octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor on board the phone is backed by the Adreno 512 GPU. For storage expansion, the smartphone has a dedicated microSD card slot that supports cards of up to 256GB capacity. There’s also a fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock.

For optics, the Realme 2 Pro is equipped with a dual camera setup at the rear. The primary camera at the back is a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor with 6P lens and an aperture of f/1.7, while the secondary sensor has 2MP resolution. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel shooter with AI Beauty mode and an aperture of f/2.0. A 3,500mAh battery completes the package. Connectivity options on the smartphone include a dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS.

Moving on to the Realme C1 specifications, the budget smartphone is among the most affordable handsets with dual rear cameras in the market today. It has a 6.2-inch display with an iPhone X-like notch on top and is powered by the Snapdragon 450 SoC. It comes in only one configurations — with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, with support for up to 256GB microSD cards. For security, the C1 comes with an AI-powered face unlock feature, but there is no fingerprint scanner on the phone.

Coming to the imaging department, the Realme C1 offers a dual-camera setup on the rear panel. The 13-megapixel primary camera is backed by a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensing unit to facilitate bokeh imaging. For selfies and video calling, the new phone offers a 5-megapixel shooter on the front. As for the software, the smartphone boots ColorOS 5.1 out of the box, which is based on the last-generation Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Keeping everything chugging is a beefy 4,230mAh battery.
