“The Realme 3 was earlier confirmed by CEO Madhav Sheth to launch sometime in Q1 2019”
Realme 3 has previously been confirmed to launch within Q1 by the brand’s India head Madhav Sheth. Now, 91mobiles has learnt from source familiar with the company’s plans that it will be launching the Realme 3 smartphone in early March. However, a date could not be ascertained at the moment. The company has also released a teaser on Twitter hinting at the launch of the Realme 3.

The new teaser for the successor to Realme 2 (review) comes in the form of a riddle on its official Twitter handle. The brand has uploaded a picture of the Realme 1 and Realme 2 packaging together. The text on the image reads ‘Simple maths or something big?’ The caption accompanying the image is also suggestive saying, ‘Let’s see if you can put 1 and 2 together.’ The simple maths and the succession of Realme 1 (review) and Realme 2 shown in the image leaks no doubt that the teaser is indeed pointing toward the Realme 3 launch. However, we can expect the next-generation smartphone to bring in a few hardware upgrades compared to its predecessors.
To recall, the Realme 2 ships with a 6.2-inch display featuring HD+ screen resolution and notch up top. At its core, the smartphone features Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, which is accompanied by either 3GB or 4GB RAM, depending on the variant. These variants come with 32GB and 64GB of expandable user storage, respectively. In the camera department, the smartphone offers a 13-megapixel primary sensor backed by a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor with LED flash on the back. As for selfies, the Realme 2 offers a 5-megapixel shooter. Other features of the Realme 2 include face unlock, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android Oreo, and a beefy 4,230mAh battery.
We will know more about the Realme 3 in coming days since the aggressive marketing indicates that the launch is not far away.
