Realme 3 alleged leaked image shows Antutu score and waterdrop notch

“While the phone has been touted to be the Realme 3 on Twitter, other reports on the web have suggested that it is actually the Realme A1.”

An alleged live image of a Realme smartphone has surfaced on Twitter. As per the description posted on Twitter, the device appears to be the upcoming Realme 3 — a successor to the much-appreciated Realme 2. However, according to some, it is actually the upcoming Realme A1, a rumoured smartphone that is believed to bridge the gap between the Realme U1 and the Realme 2.

There is not much to go on with regards to which of the two upcoming smartphones might this be. The only real clue lies in the device nomenclature, written in the AnTuTu benchmark that is visible on the device’s screen. The upcoming Realme 3 is believed to bear the nomenclature Realme RMX1821, while the device seen here bears model nomenclature RMX1825, leading many to suggest that it is actually the Realme A1. However, the handset in the image does have the Helier P70 SoC, which is confirmed for Realme 3.

The AnTuTu score of 1,37,976 points is not very high, pointing towards a budget smartphone that will be positioned below the Realme 2 Pro. Both the Realme 3 and A1 are rumoured to feature a waterdrop notch and run Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 custom firmware on board.

Realme has been touted to be a highly promising brand of late, with its products featuring in the list of most in-demand products during the 2018 festive season. It will be interesting if Realme shifts to MediaTek’s new processors for its upcoming devices, seeing that the chipmaker has heavily touted its cost and power efficiency, along with comparably strong performance in answer to its competitor Qualcomm’s offerings.
