“Realme 3 Pro blind orders will give fans a chance to win a R-pass, which assures them a unit irrespective of the rush to buy the handset on the release day”
Realme 3 Pro is among the most eagerly anticipated budget smartphones in the Indian market, with the launch event scheduled for April 22nd. The company has now announced it will open the ‘blind’ Realme 3 Pro pre-orders in India on April 19th, three days before the launch. Under this, the brand will allow fans to register to buy the Realme 3 Pro — 5,000 fans will be selected from the registrants to get the R-pass, which will allow them to purchase the handset without worrying about the rush of buyers looking to snag a unit.
According to a tweet by Realme India head Madhav Sheth, the Realme 3 Pro blind pre-orders will open at 12am on April 19th only via the company’s official site. This means even Flipkart, which is expected to be the exclusive online sales partner for the handset, won’t host the blind pre-bookings. Fans will not have to pay any amount as part of the process — that will be required only when the smartphone goes on sale.
Blind sale on 19th April starts from midnight 00.00
What does it mean?
A) Register yourself
B) 5k core fans will get R-pass
No need to pay, just register and be lucky to have GUARANTEED hands on rm3pro.— Madhav Sheth (@MadhavSheth1) April 17, 2019
It will, of course, be a good chance to ensure you can be among the first buyers to get your hands on the Realme 3 Pro, whose demand is expected to be much higher than the supply, at least initially. Of course, throughout the process, fans won’t know the exact Realme 3 Pro price in India and specifications. Alongside the handset, the company will launch the Realme C2 smartphone at the April 22nd event.
A Realme 3 Pro Flipkart listing page is also live at present, which shows the smartphone will have fast-charging support, which is a given on phones across price bands nowadays. But the interesting thing to note here is that the upcoming handset is being claimed to offer 5 hours of talk time on a charge of 10 minutes. Previously, the company has confirmed super slo-mo and burst camera modes as well as Fortnite support for the handset, alongside sharing camera samples. Leaked Realme 3 Pro specifications include Snapdragon 710 SoC, VOOC 3.0 fast-charging, and primary rear camera with Sony IMX519 sensor. Three variants of the handset are expected: 4GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 64GB.
As for the Realme C2, specifications we have exclusively learnt from industry sources include the Helio P22 processor, 8-megapixel front camera, dual rear cameras with 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensors, 4,230mAh battery, and ColorOS 6.0 custom skin. The sources say the handset will be priced around Rs 8,000 in the country.
