“VOOC 3.0 is new fast-charging tech and has been tipped to be included on the Realme 3 Pro”
Realme was one of the fastest growing smartphone OEMs last year, courtesy of its extremely high value for money devices. And while the OPPO spin-off has launched the Realme 3 this year, the most anticipated model – the Realme 3 Pro – is expected to arrive later this month. Surprisingly, there has been silence about the potential specifications and the design of the upcoming smartphone in the rumour mill so far. However, an exclusive leak coming from Indiashopps, citing unnamed sources and analysts, revealed a lot today.
According to the leak, the Realme 3 Pro will feature VOOC 3.0, which will be surprising as it is one of OPPO’s new fast-charging technologies. This charging tech is currently found on the OPPO F11 Pro and as the Realme 3 Pro is expected to be priced at considerably lower point, this will be an exciting inclusion if true. Another key highlight would be the Snapdragon 710 SoC, according to the leaked spec sheet. This is a pretty powerful octa-core chipset, based on the 10nm process, and can compete well with the newer Snapdragon 675 SoC. Another well-known tipster last week revealed the possibility of Realme introducing the same chip on the Realme 3 Pro. The build quality is believed to be the same as last year. As for the cameras, the Sony IMX519 camera sensor is believed to be running the imaging department. This is the same sensor that also does image capturing duties on the OnePlus 6T. Three variants of the handset are expected starting with a base 4GB + 32GB model, a mid-tier 4GB + 64GB model, and a 6GB + 64GB variant. The source believes the launch of the handset will take place in the third week of April which is anytime after 21st. The Realme 3 Pro will probably go up against the likes of the Redmi Note 7 Pro (review) in India.
