“The Realme 5 series will have a primary camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens, a super macro shooter, and a depth-sensing portrait camera”
Realme 5 series India launch date is August 20th, which has been teased by the e-commerce portal Flipkart. The phones will be introduced at an event that will kick off at 12:30 pm. The company is expected to introduce two handsets in the series, including the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. As confirmed by the brand earlier, these smartphones will come with four cameras at the rear. Flipkart has now revealed a few details about the camera specifications of these devices. The e-tailer has revealed that these handsets will have a primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, a super macro shooter, and a depth-sensing portrait lens at the rear.
According to Flipkart, the primary sensor of the Realme 5 series will be able to capture good low-light photos with a larger aperture and pixel size. The ultra-wide-angle lens of the smartphones will have a field of view of 119-degrees. The super macro lens of these handsets will have a “microscopic” focal length of 4cm. Lastly, the portrait lens of the phones is touted to capture photos with “sharpness and clarity”.
Unfortunately, Flipkart or Realme have not revealed any other specifications of the upcoming smartphones. However, according to our sources, the Realme 5 will have a 16MP primary camera at the rear, while the Realme 5 Pro’s main sensor will be 48MP. The handsets will have a slimmer U-shaped notch above the screen. They will utilise Qualcomm’s Snapdragon series processors for power. As confirmed by the brand earlier, both the smartphones will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. There’s no word on the other specs or pricing of these devices at the moment.
Apart from the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro, the company will also be introducing another four camera-toting smartphone under the Realme X series. This phone will be unveiled sometime before Diwali in the country. This handset will be the brand’s first smartphone with it’s a 64MP Samsung Bright GW1 sensor. The company hasn’t yet revealed the pricing range for the 64MP camera-toting at the moment.
