Realme X50 Pro 5G launched in India on Monday as the country’s first 5G smartphone. The phone was simultaneously launched globally at an event in Madrid. At the Madrid event, the company’s country manager Emilio Alvarez revealed the brand’s 5G plans for the year. Realme mentioned that it’s planning to introduce at least five 5G smartphones this year as the company aims to rapidly expand its 5G ecosystem. The 5G phones will be across price segments, and the company said that it believes there will be demand for the next-gen network in the lower market segments.

Talking about the Realme X50 Pro specifications, the smartphone sports a 6.44-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+, 1000+ nits brightness, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The phone ships with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB internal storage. It runs on Android 10 OS with Realme UI custom skin on top. The Realme X50 Pro houses a 4,200mAh battery with 65W SuperDart fast charging technology.

Realme X50 Pro quad camera setup includes a 64MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and a macro camera, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 20x zoom support, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. There are a 32MP Sony IMX616 primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens on the front for selfies and video chats. Realme X50 Pro price in India starts at Rs 37,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, Rs 39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 44,999 for the 12GB + 256GB option.
