- The Realme 8 Pro in-display fingerprint sensor has been confirmed by the brand
- The handset will also have quad rear cameras with a 108MP primary camera and a punch-hole display
- Realme 8 series India launch is expected later this month
Realme 8 Pro in-display fingerprint sensor has been confirmed by the brand’s India head on Twitter. This also means it will come with an AMOLED display instead of an LCD panel. The tweet reads “User convenience is our top priority,” with the attached video clip showing the in-display fingerprint sensor in action. It also reveals the front design of the phone with a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner and a sizeable bezel below the screen. The volume rocker and power button are on the right spine. It’s already known the back panel will have the ‘Dare to Leap’ tagline etched in bold and a quad-camera set up in a square housing with a 108MP primary sensor. The Realme 8 Pro will ship in a gradient Blue hue, but there will likely be other choices at launch.

Realme 8 specifications (rumoured)
An alleged Realme 8 Pro with the model number RMX3081 was spotted on the FCC certification site, revealing some key specifications. This suggests the handset will pack a 4,500mAh battery with a 65W fast charging solution and boot Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. Separately, another leak revealed the Realme 8 Pro will be available in 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM options, paired with 128GB storage. It will be available in Infinite Black, Infinite Blue, and Illuminating Yellow colour options.
The Realme 8 series is said to include at least two models, Realme 8 4G, Realme 8 Pro 4G, and Realme 8 Pro 5G. The base model is said to come with Snapdragon 720G, while the Pro model may have Snapdragon 732G chipset. There’s also a 5G variant in the works but the chipset details are under wraps. The alleged TENAA listing of Realme 8 says it may arrive with a 6.5-inch display, 5,000mAh battery, triple cameras, and punch-hole design. Though the company has confirmed the Realme 8 series, the exact launch date remains to be under wraps, for now. However, the latest leak claims the Realme 7 successors might launch on March 25th in India. We should learn more information going forward.
