Realme 8 series launch event: how to watch online

Realme 8 series launch event in India will be live-streamed on the company’s YouTube channel. The livestream will start at 7:30 PM IST on March 24th and you can watch online right here through the livestream link embedded above. You can set a reminder to watch the event when it starts.

Realme 8 series price in India (expected)

While the company hasn’t given any details regarding the Realme 8 price in India, we believe that the phone will be priced between Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000. The Realme 8 Pro price should fall under Rs 20,000. These prices are speculations of course, but if they do turn out to be accurate, then the new Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro are going to be more affordable than the Realme X7 series.

As mentioned earlier, the phones were up for pre-orders on Flipkart and Realme’s India website until March 22nd. The first sale will be on March 25th, and pre-order customers will be able to pay the remainder of the cost to purchase the phone on the same day.

Realme 8 and 8 Pro specifications

The Realme 8 specifications aren’t fully out in the open yet, but we do know some details thanks to leaks and teasers. The Realme 8 Pro will be a high-end model with a quad rear camera setup. The phone will get a primary 108MP sensor and a telephoto lens. Other details on the camera aren’t known yet. The Pro variant will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 732G chipset, and there could also be a 5G model that will use the Snapdragon 750G processor or a MediaTek SoC.

Realme 8 Pro camera features

On the front, the phone is tipped to house a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. An in-display fingerprint scanner and a punch-hole selfie camera have also been tipped, along with a maximum of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, a 4,500mAh battery with 50W fast charging, and Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0.

Coming to the lower end Realme 8, you can expect this phone to have a 64MP primary rear camera. It’ll also get a quad camera setup that’ll include an ultra-wide sensor, depth sensor, and a macro lens. The phone is said to feature an AMOLED panel, but other details remain scanty. As this is a less powerful variant of the Pro, it’ll most likely get the Snapdragon 720G chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. However, the phone will supposedly house a larger 5,000mAh battery. It’ll also boot the latest Android 11 mobile OS with Realme UI 2.0 skin on top.
