There is a lot to look forward to with the Realme 8 series, which is expected to feature two or even three SKUs, namely the Realme 8, Realme 8 Pro 4G, and Realme 8 Pro 5G. Realme 8 Pro specifications will be headlined by a 108MP camera, AMOLED screen, and an optical fingerprint scanner. The handsets will run Realme UI 2.0 atop Android 11 out of the box. Realme 8 specs are rumoured to include either a 64MP or a 48MP primary camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and a 128GB storage option. Realme 8 series launch date in India
Realme 8 series is set to launch on March 24th at 7:30 PM in India. The smartphones are expected to go on sale in April and they should be available through Flipkart and offline retail stores across the country. Interested buyers can pre-order the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro now from Realme’s website and Flipkart by paying Rs 1,080 upfront. Customers can come back on March 25th i.e one day after the launch event to pay the balance amount between 12 noon to 23:59 hours. In case users decide not to go ahead with the purchase after the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro prices in India are revealed, the Rs 1,080 deposit will be refunded.
Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro prices in India
Realme 8 price in India is speculated to start at around Rs 15,000, while the Realme 8 Pro could cost around Rs 25,000. This would make the series more affordable than the recently launched Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro. The Realme 8 is said to be available in two colours, namely Cyber Silver and Cyber Black, while the Realme 8 Pro may come with Infinite Black, Infinite Blue, and Illuminating Yellow options.

The Realme 8 Pro will tout a quad-camera setup at the back comprising a 108MP primary sensor. The handset could also ship with a telephoto lens. The mobile phone is said to be driven by a Snapdragon 732G SoC for the 4G variant, while the 5G variant is rumoured to rock Snapdragon 750G SoC or a MediaTek chipset. The 8 Pro is expected to sport a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED 90Hz display with a punch-hole for the selfie camera. While the selfie camera resolution remains under the wrap at the moment, it’ll come with an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
As far as storage and memory configurations go, Realme 8 Pro will get 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage onboard. The storage will most likely be expandable using a microSD card. Software-wise, the phone will run Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. The handset is said to be driven by a 4,500mAh battery with a 65W fast charging solution.
Realme 8 specifications
The regular Realme 8 is likely to feature slightly downgraded specs compared to the ‘Pro’ model. The handset could use the same 64MP/48MP sensor found in other Realme devices. Its remaining quad-camera array will likely consist of an ultra-wide-angle lens, a depth sensor, and a macro lens. The Realme smartphone is also expected to feature an AMOLED display. That said, there is no word on the refresh rate, resolution, and screen size yet.
Under the hood, the Realme 8 could employ Snapdragon 720G SoC coupled with 4GB/ 8GB RAM and 128GB storage onboard. The handset will also boot Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. Lastly, the Realme 8 would be powered by a 5,000mAh unit.
