Realme 9 5G, Realme 9 5G SE specifications (expected)

Realme 9 5G SE’s dedicated microsite on the company’s website suggests it will come with a 144Hz display and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. The ‘SE’ here stands for Speed Edition apparantly. This also means the vanilla Realme 9 5G may come with 120Hz or a 90Hz panel.

The Realme 9 5G will arrive with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, while the SE model may arrive with the more powerful 6nm Snapdragon 778 chipset inside. The chipset should be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that may be further expandable via a microSD card. The phones are likely to run Android 12 based Realme UI 3.0 custom skin out of the box.

Moving to optics, the Realme 9 5G series is said to come with triple cameras on the back, with a 48MP primary sensor, which will be paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP third lens. The Realme 9 5G is tipped to arrive with a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The Realme 9 5G is said to measure 8.5mm thick and have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

The Realme 9 5G series is said to come in four colour options: Stargaze White, Supersonic Blue, Supersonic Black, and Meteor Black. We should know more details when the phones arrive tomorrow.
