Alleged Realme 9i, Realme 9 Pro Plus, and Realme GT 2 Pro visit EEC, launch seems imminent

Realme is gearing up for the launch of its Realme 9 series of smartphones. The brand has already made it officially clear that the Realme 9 lineup of devices won’t launch in 2021 and we’d have to wait till early 2022 in order to be able to get our hands on the series. That, however, has certainly not stopped leaks from popping up on the Internet every now and then. Today, we have spotted a couple of Realme 9-series smartphones, as well as a Realme GT-series smartphone, on the EEC certification website. Let’s see what the EEC certification for these smartphones has in store for us.

Realme 9i, Realme 9 Pro Plus, Realme GT 2 Pro get certified

As seen in the EEC certification screenshots above, the alleged Realme 9 Pro Plus (with the model number Realme RMX3393), Realme 9i (with the model number Realme RMX3491) and Realme GT 2 Pro (with the model number Realme RMX3301) have recently received the EEC certification. The EEC certification suggests that the global launch of the Realme 9 series and the Realme GT 2 Pro is imminent. We can certainly expect these devices to hit the commercial shelves sometime during early 2022.

While the devices have started receiving certifications ahead of their tentative launch schedule which is quite normal, we are yet to receive any information when it comes to their specifications and designs. So far, the only piece of intel that we have on these smartphones is their model numbers and the monikers. That said, it’s a start and we can expect to hear more on these devices in the coming days. However, the Realme 9 Pro Plus is tipped to feature an AMOLED panel. The device is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. In all likelihood, the Realme 9 Pro Plus will feature a 108MP main camera.

Not too long ago, the Realme 9 Pro Plus hit the IMEI database and these certifications/listings are most likely going to catch pace as the launch nears. Whenever we receive any more information on the Realme 9 series or the Realme GT 2 Pro, we will make it a point to keep you posted on the same.
