“The Realme A1 will most likely be an affordable offering from the brand and is rumoured to arrive with waterdrop-notch display”
The unannounced Realme A1 smartphone is back in news yet again. The handset first came into limelight towards the fag end of the year 2018 and was expected to be the upcoming budget offering from Realme. Then, early this year in February, it was reported that the vendor could take the wraps off the Realme A1 alongside the Realme 3, but it didn’t. And now, a photo of the Realme A1 retail box has surfaced on the web, indicating that its launch is could be around the corner.
The retail box reveals the name of the handset, with ‘A1’ written in the middle and ‘Realme’ at the bottom. It doesn’t reveal any other info about the smartphone but seems to confirm it’s not scrapped and still in the pipeline. However, going by the previous leaks and rumours, the Realme A1 will arrive with MediaTek Helio P70 processor paired with either 3GB or 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There will reportedly be dual-rear camera setup with a primary 13-megapixel sensor and 2-megapixel secondary depth unit. The phone is expected to feature a massive 4,200mAh battery.
Like the other Realme smartphones, the Realme A1 is also said to boast of an all-display fascia. While the screen size is not known at the moment, the handset will reportedly have a waterdrop-style notch up top. On the software front, it’ll most likely boot ColorOS 6 Android 9 Pie out of the box. The company is yet to confirm the details and reveal if and when it’s planning to launch Realme A1 smartphone. The handset is likely to be priced around Rs 10,000.
In related news, the brand is gearing up to launch its flagship Realme X smartphone with the pop-up selfie camera in India on July 15th. The handset has already been launched in China and is first from the brand to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
