Realme C73 5G with 6.67-inch display, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 launched in India: price, specifications

Realme C73 5G has been launched in India as a new budget-oriented phone in the C-series. It’s the second phone in the series after the Realme C75, which launched last month. The handset offers a military-grade shock-resistance durability with rainwater touch and an IP64 rating. It’s also claimed to have passed over 320 rigorous tests, including 75-degree maximum temperature and minus 20-degree minimum temperature tests. The new Realme phone also comes with AI features, including Google Gemini and AI Smart Loop, which recognise the content on screen and offer recommendations. 

Realme C73 5G price in India, sale

• Realme C73 5G price in India starts at Rs 10,499 for 4GB/128GB.
• The phone comes in Jade Green, Crystal Purple, and Onyx Black shades.
• The company is offering a Rs 500 discount via all banks’ credit cards.
• The Realme C73 5G will be available via Flipkart and the Realme website from June 2nd and retail stores from June 6th.
• Realme Buds T200x have also been launched at Rs 1,599, and these come in Moonlight White, Frost Blue, and Pure Black shades. 
• There’s a Rs 200 bank discount. The sale of the earbuds starts from June 6th via mainline stores.

Realme C73 specifications, features

• Display: The Realme C73 5G sports a 6.67-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 625 nits peak brightness, 180Hz touch reporting rate, and 83 percent NTSC colour gamut.
• Processor: The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphics. The chipset comes with HyperEngine gaming enhancements. 
• It is claimed to offer up to 10 percent faster gaming than the previous generation and a GPU performance advantage of over 50 percent against the competition.
• Memory: The handset arrives in two models: 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB.
• OS: Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 custom skin out of the box. The phone offers an AI Signal Adjustment feature, which, as the name suggests, offers a reliable signal even in areas with poor network coverage. There’s Free Call, which allows you to contact nearby family/friends anywhere without a signal or internet connection.
• The software offers AI features like AI Clear Face, Google Gemini, AI Smart Loop, and Wallpaper Depth.
• Cameras: The Realme C73 features a 32MP GALAXYCORE GC32E2 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary lens. It is said to have an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies.
• The camera offers modes like Photo, Video, Night, Professional, Portrait, HighDefinition, Street, dual-view video, and Time-lapse.
• Battery: The Relme C73 packs a 6,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. This battery capacity is quite impressive for a budget phone, and it should easily get you through a day’s usage even with heavy tasks. 
• Others: A side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Rainwater Touch, Military-grade durability, and an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. This is comparatively better than the IP54 rating on most phones in the segment.

What’s new on the Realme C73 5G?

The Realme C73 5G arrives as a follow-up to the Realme C63 5G, which was launched in August last year. Here’s what changed.

• The Realme C73 5G brings improved durability over the predecessor. It features military-grade shock-resistance durability. This protects the device from drops on hard surfaces.
• Another notable change is the battery capacity. We get a large 6,000mAh cell compared to a 5,000mAh battery. The fast charging speed is also increased to 15W from 10W on the Realme C63.
• The phone is also now slightly heavier at 197 grams compared to 192 grams of the Realme C63.
