Surprising many, Realme today started teasing the arrival of its first-ever foldable smartphone, as well as smartphones with an under-display selfie camera. The brand’s latest posts suggest that both these devices (or lineups) will launch sometime next year. Right when all this was happening, in another interesting turn of events, a new leak has popped up in the form of a leaked design sketch of Realme’s supposed foldable smartphone. As per this leak, the brand’s first-ever foldable would be dubbed Realme GT 2 Fold. Not just the name, but we also have sketches that show the Realme GT 2 Fold design as well as key specifications. Realme GT 2 Fold specifications and design leaked
As seen in the image above, this is what the Realme GT 2 Fold will allegedly look like. The device will feature a cover display, which will measure 6.5-inch across the diagonal. The main display will be an 8-inch AMOLED screen. As a matter of fact, the cover display will also be AMOLED. Whether or not either of the displays will feature some sort of high refresh rate is relatively unknown for now. That being said, given the brand’s history, it is safe to assume that the Realme GT 2 Fold will most likely sport a high refresh rate.
Moving on, the device is shown flaunting a dual rear camera setup – 50MP + 50MP. We can speculate that one will be the primary camera, while the second unit could be an ultra-wide sensor. The front camera will be embedded underneath a punch-hole. On the left side, we can see the volume up and down buttons, while on the right, there’s a power button that could potentially double as a fingerprint scanner. At the bottom, we can see a USB Type-C charging port and the speaker grille.
Well, this pretty much sums up the leaked design sketch for the Realme GT 2 Fold. Coming to the brand teasing the same, Chase, Realme CMO (China) has started teasing the fact that the launch of the brand’s foldables and under-display selfie camera phones are imminent. He took to Weibo to tease the same.
For now, this is pretty much everything that we know about the Realme GT 2 Fold and, needless to say, this is too early to jump to conclusions. We are not really sure as to how authentic this leak is, but since the brand has already started hinting it, we are sure that Realme Folds are not too far away from now.
