Realme GT 2 Pro launch date in India is indeed April 7th at 12:30 PM IST, the company has officially confirmed. The date was previously spotted via a deleted tweet on Wednesday, but the brand has now confirmed the same. The flagship should be sold via Flipkart and the Realme website. The device launched in China earlier this year and globally last month at MWC 2022. It appears Realme will only be introducing the Realme GT 2 Pro in India as there’s no mention of the vanilla Realme GT 2. The smartphone comes with the industry-first bio-based polymer design and is the world’s first smartphone to come with a TCO 9.0 certification, a leading sustainability certification for IT products.
Since the Realme GT 2 Pro has already been launched, we know its complete specifications and design. The smartphone features a Paper Technology Design developed in association with Japanese designers Naoto Fukasawa and Sabic. Realme GT 2 Pro price in India and sale details will be revealed when the phone launches on April 7th.

Realme GT 2 Pro expected price
Realme GT 2 Pro, considering its top of the line specifications and the China price that starts at RMB 3,699 (around Rs 43,400), we can expect it cost around Rs 50,000 in India, after the taxes. It should be interesting to see whether Realme would place the base model around the Rs 45,000 price tag.
Realme GT 2 Pro vs Motorola Edge 30 Pro
Realme GT 2 Pro should compete with the Motorola Edge 30 Pro in the country as they both come with Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset. However, there are chances that the Realme phone may cost slightly higher if not on the same lines as the Edge 30 Pro. The GT 2 Pro has a 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate but the Motorola Edge 30 Pro just has an FHD+ panel but with a higher 144Hz refresh rate.
The rear optics are fairly similar but a front camera is a 60MP unit on the Edge 30 Pro compared to a 32MP unit on the Realme GT 2 Pro. They have almost similar fast-charging support onboard but GT 2 Pro has a slightly bigger 5000mAh unit compared to a 4,800mAh unit. They both run Android 12 OS out of the box. It all comes down to the price of the GT 2 Pro to conclude which is a better pick among the two.
