Realme GT 5G launch date in India is Wednesday, August 18th and there have been tons of teasers from the company about the upcoming flagship. The latest teaser now suggests that the Realme GT 5G could be the cheapest phone in India to come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC. The high-end chipset, which is often found in pricey flagship phones, is expected to now feature on a Rs 35,000 device if rumours about the Realme GT 5G price in India are true. The Realme GT 5G will compete against the Mi 11X Pro and iQOO 7 Legend under Rs 40,000.
Realme GT 5G could be the cheapest Snapdragon 888 smartphone in India
Realme GT 5G and Realme GT Master Edition phones are set to launch in India tomorrow. The latter is tipped to be priced under Rs 30,000, while the Snapdragon 888-powered Realme GT 5G is rumoured to come with a Rs 35,000 price tag. The latest teaser from Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth suggests the Realme GT will disrupt the premium segment and the phone will come at a “never-seen-before” price point.
The Snapdragon 888 is manufactured using the currently benchmarked 5nm process and is an octa-core chipset with an integrated 5G modem. The 8 core / 8 thread processor is clocked at 2.8GHz and comes with the Adreno 660 GPU. The Spectra 580 ISP lends the chipset tremendous audio-visual processing abilities. The chipset is also capable of running high-speed networks like 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and NFC.

The Realme GT 5G is the company’s flagship smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The Realme GT 5G Master Edition, on the other hand, comes with the Snapdragon 778G chipset and is rumoured to cost under Rs 30,000. Apart from the chipset, the two phones are more or less similar. They both offer The Realme GT 5G is will come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 64MP triple camera system. The Realme GT houses a 4,500mAh battery while the Master Edition phone gets a smaller 4,300mAh unit. Both the devices support 65W fast charging.
