Realme GT 5G global launch will happen later today, as announced earlier. The event will also witness the unveiling of the company’s first-ever laptop and tablet, called the Realme Book and Realme Pad, respectively. Realme GT was originally launched in China back in March and is also expected to debut in India shortly. Realme laptop images have recently leaked online, revealing the design in full glory. It has a 3:2 aspect ratio and is a lot identical to the MacBook Air with a silver colour option and aluminium build. It is expected to run Windows 10 out of the box. While the Realme Pad will have a metal build and at least dual cameras on the back. We should know more about the Realme Book and Pad later today.

Realme GT 5G global launch event: how to watch online

Realme GT 5G will be launching globally today through an online-only event that will be live-streamed starting at 5:30 PM IST via the company’s YouTube channel. We have embedded the YouTube link below to catch the event.

Realme GT 5G price (expected)

The Realme GT global price was listed on the company’s Europe website earlier this month. The phone will start from EUR 549 (approx Rs 48,800) for the model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. In China, however, the phone costs CNY 2799 (approx Rs 32,000) for the 8GB/128GB model. We expect the Realme GT price in India to be closer to the China prices.

Realme GT 5G specifications

Realme GT 5G specifications include a 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with punch-hole cutout, 120Hz refresh rate, 1000nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla 5. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC coupled with Adreno 660 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone boots Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 custom skin out of the box and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support. Connectivity features include 5G Dual-mode, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.

Moving to optics, Realme GT has triple cameras at the back, with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The phone is equipped with stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res audio.

Realme Book Laptop, as said, will have a 3:2 aspect ratio with narrow bezels on all corners. It has an aluminium body and may have stereo speakers. The keyboard layout is also similar to Apple MacBook and the bottom portion has a fan outlet for airflow. The outer lid has ‘Realme’ branding. Unfortunately, no hardware specifications are revealed at the moment.
