Realme GT 7 Pro: what’s new?
The Realme GT 7 Pro is a follow-up to the Realme GT 5 Pro. It retains the same 6.78-inch display size and 1.5K resolution. We also get a much wider colour gamut support at 120 percent and 6000nits HDR brightness. We also get support for the IP69+68 rating, which was not present on the predecessor.
The Realme GT 7 Pro gets a 50MP Sony IMX906 camera in place of a 50MP LYT-808 camera. The periscope lens is also a Sony IMX882 from an IMX890. The front camera is downgraded from a 32MP lens to a 16MP shooter on the Realme GT 7 Pro
Most importantly, the chipset section gets an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This should result in notable performance gains both in terms of regular use and gaming. The battery size has also jumped from a 5,400mAh cell to a 6,500mAh unit. The fast charging speed gets a boot as well: from 100W to 120W on the GT 7 Pro. The silicon-carbon negative electrode battery on the GT 7 Pro is claimed to have the industry’s highest 10 percent silicon content.
