
Realme recently unveiled the Realme GT 7 as the successor to last year’s Realme GT 6. It offers an upgraded processor in the form of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, a flat display, a larger 7,000mAh battery, and also gains better durability with IP68/69 rating. It costs Rs 39,999, and in this price segment, the OnePlus 13R is a close rival.
The OnePlus 13R, priced at Rs 42,999 borrows the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 from last year’s OnePlus 12 and gets a 2x telephoto lens, replacing the 2MP macro camera present on the OnePlus 12R. The Realme GT 7 features a graphene-based fibreglass blend rear cover. Realme calls this back panel “IceSense Graphene”, which allows the phone to remain cool when subjected to performance loads. The phone comes in two colours: IceSense Blue and IceSense Black. It has a rectangular camera module surrounded by coloured edges and an accented power button on the flat plastic frame.
As for weight and thickness, the Realme GT 7 weighs 206g and has a thickness of 8.3mm, while the OnePlus 13R weighs the same and comes with a thickness of 8mm.

Both Realme GT 7 and OnePlus 13R feature the same display size, AMOLED panels, resolution of 1.5K, and 120Hz refresh rate support. For display protection, both devices are equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. You get completely flat panels with minimal bezels on these smartphones.

The Realme GT 7 and OnePlus 13R boast TSMC-made 4nm high-end octa-core chipsets from different chip makers, where the former is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e while the latter packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9400e offers a higher clock speed of 3.4GHz versus a 3.3GHz clock speed of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC inside the OnePlus 13R. Similarly, the Realme phone packs the Immortalis-G720 MC12, while the Adreno 750 GPU is present inside the OnePlus phone. In terms of storage type, the Realme GT 7 carries UFS 4.1, while the OnePlus 13R packs UFS 4.0. As for RAM type, both have LPDDR5X.

The Realme GT 7 not only has a 16.6 percent bigger battery than the OnePlus 13R, but also charges faster. Its dual-cell setup battery (two 3,500mAh batteries charged together) also allows it to charge faster, while the OnePlus 13R has a single 6,000mAh battery, which takes longer to charge.
Both phones come with their proprietary charging adapters and feature USB Type-A output, meaning they do not support PD charging.
Realme GT 7 vs OnePlus 13R: software
The Realme GT 7 and OnePlus 13R run on Android 15 out of the box, with the difference being that the former comes with Realme UI 6.0 while the latter features OxygenOS 15. Both smartphones promise four OS upgrades with six years of security updates.
