Realme has announced the Android 13 open beta update for the Realme GT Neo 3T in the country. The company says the Open Beta programme will give customers the first look at new features before the stable Android 13 release makes its way. Realme UI 3.0 is claimed to improve functionality, fluency, customizability, security, and privacy, which are quite important to a smartphone user in the age of mobile internet connectivity. The update is said to introduce a refreshing look with ‘Fluid Space Design and Sketchpad AOD (always on display).

As a prerequisite, Realme GT Neo 3T customers need to be on the latest RMX3371_11.A.08 firmware build. Those interested in trying out the open beta can do so by heading over to Settings > Software update > Tap on the settings icon in the top right corner > Trail Version > Submit your details > and then tap Apply Now for the beta update.
Realme warns users that some third-party applications might not be compatible with Android 13 yet as they might not be available or crash on the device. So it is better to update all the applications to the latest version available in the Google Play Store before proceeding with the beta update. Since this is an open beta program, the build may not be suitable for daily use.
Furthermore, Realme says that users need to ensure that the available phone storage is more than 5GB to eliminate any risk of update failure. The phone’s battery should be at least 60 per cent. The company also clarifies that because of factors such as network communication and strategy adjustment, every applicant might not receive the update. In case customers do not like the update, they can roll back to Android 12 but the personal data will be erased and they can’t be back to the Open Beta version once they roll back.
