“There is a possibility that the new Realme Q-series could include a rebranded Realme 5 Pro variant”
Realme has been teasing a new smartphone series in China for some time. The brand recently posted the promotional render of a handset, revealing the rear design in its full glory and confirmed it would ship with a Snapdragon chipset. The handset also features a quad rear camera setup with 64MP primary sensor. Now, putting an end to the speculations, Realme officially confirmed the new series would be called Q, and it will be launched in China on September 5th.
Separately, Realme 5 Pro, that was launched in India earlier this month was certified by TENAA in China. So there is a possibility that the new Q-series could include a rebranded Realme 5 Pro variant. After Realme China CMO Xu Qi Chase posted the promotional render of the 64MP quad-camera phone, the brand showcased the Realme XT smartphone at an event in China ahead of the India launch, which is teased for September. Realme mentioned that it would share more information about the Realme Q series phone in the next few days, so we should know more details.
Rumours suggest the Realme’s 64MP phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 712 SoC, pack a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor and boost Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top and HyperBoost 2.0. The handset also features a gradient finish with reflective patterns, which the brand is calling Silver Wing White hue. Since the launch is not very far, we don’t have to wait much longer to know more details.
